They also gave great advice on all the layout and gadgets and gizmos - as I am a van novice this was massively helpful when designing the van. “My wife and I hired a camper from Darren and Terry a couple of years ago and went away for a Bank Holiday weekend in August as first time campers. We were immediately bitten by the bug of being away, off grid and from the stresses of life in the great outdoors with our dogs. We were so impressed with their workmanship in the hire van that we decided to ask if they could build us one. It was a long wait for them to start as they are so busy but the wait was well worth it. It gave us the chance to decide on layout and colours etc before the build was started. Once started we told them what we would like and they went to work. We visited them on a regular basis to see progress and they advised us on lots of other things that we hadn’t thought of. The end result is an absolute beaut of a conversion that gets looks and comments wherever we go. The fitment and fixture of everything is second to none. We couldn’t be happier with their craft, workmanship and above all, honesty which in modern times are qualities not found too often. It has been an absolute pleasure having AVC convert our van and we are looking forward to many years of happy times out on the road and wish them all the very best for the future.”

After extensive research we couldn’t find what we wanted off the shelf and then came across Affordable Van Conversions (AVC) Darren and Terry are true craftsmen and take a huge pride in what they do. We are delighted with our van - it’s superb and just what we wanted. The finish and the standard of equipment fitted is of very high quality and what would usually come as optional extras are fitted by AVC as standard. We have a solar panel to continually charge the batteries which means we can go off grid, while good insulation and central heating means we can use the van all year round. If you are looking for a quality bespoke product then look no further. We would highly recommend AVC without any hesitation.”

“Hi all just thought I would post a little review about affordable van conversions based in midsummer Norton near Bath and Bristol After buying a brand new VW T6 costing just about Forty grand fully converted with all the bells and whistles from a highly regarded converter of these vans and living with it for eighteen months we decided that it was not for us it was To small and not really usable for the winter months Despite having a diesel heater fitted it was just to damned cold also the VW headlights were appalling on a premium quality van almost dangerous don't get me wrong the T6 was a fantastic van just not for us So after a lot looking round at a few of coach built offerings on the market and a lot of research and visiting camper conversion companies those that were prepared to show us round belive me not all of them will let you visit Our almost last port of call was affordable van conversions where we met Darren Moyse Half of the workforce at affordable van conversions The other half being Terry just a small two man outfit but believe me his passion is almost infectious regarding camper conversions. But that I all he does do. He won't try or offer to source you a van or anything all he does is convert your van and that is all he wants to do. Although he does have contacts who are more than reasonable and very helpful if you require there services.So after our visit to Affordable Van Conversions we decided to go with them for the build and a deposit of £5000 was paid in the july of 2017 as the only build slot that he had available was in late 2017 and was just after christmas and nothing after that for about a year.We sourced our van from Mercedes in coventry a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 313 and delivered it to Darren just before christmas 2017 Darren quoted about Ten weeks for the build but it was actually a bit longer than that about sixteen weeks I think we took delivery of the newly converted van on the 19 May 2018 The verdict WOW what a conversion the van is fantastic I had a few ideas of the type of van that I wanted and when presented to darren he was more than helpful about offering his suggestions some of my ideas were blown out of the water and when he explained why you could understand his point after all he and terry have been doing this for quite a few years now so they should now what they are doing Don't get me wrong they will build exactly what you want if you think you are right but if your not sure please take a little time to listen to them.In a lot of cases this company Darren and Terry went way beyond the call of duty with all the extras provided on the van things that weren't included in the original quote In short I would have no problems recommending Affordable Van Conversions to anybody they go the extra mile and are very professional company okay they may be a little slow as darren quite freely admits in fact I think his motto is I might be slow but I want it right Thanks fellas you have done a great job we love the van.”

“Darren and Terry from AVC are a wonderful "old school" partnership who lovingly create your own specification campervan dreams, to an impeccable and stylish standard. Unlike some companies who can convert your van a lot more quickly, but combined with much less quality and finish, Darren & Terry do not use conversion kits and craft all of their furniture and fittings from scratch. Ultimately, you get what you pay for and "all good things come to those who wait" I cannot recommend Darren & Terry highly enough for what they have produced for us. "Bertie" has fulfilled our wildest dreams with our ever grateful thanks to the boys at AVC!”

“This is a two man band who put 'their all' into their work. We travelled about 200 miles to have these people convert our van and we are really pleased with the outcome. They work with what you want (we had some set ideas as to what we wanted) as well as giving ideas. Nothing is too much for them.
